1.It’s saying that I believe in luck and the more work or effort the more i have of it .
2. It’s stating that i'm a big believer in luck and if i believe in it more .The more i have of it .

I would say half and half .Because luck isn’t always around to help or protect you further more luck never last.But has it’s moments in life .For example I the one of the few students was chosen out of the school and was accepted . To a big and important program that has and will help me achieve my goals and dreams in life . That is why i’m lucky and am grateful to be in TRIO.
6.based upon my understanding i've learned that Eric Thomas taught me something . That you can’t always rely on luck. How i formed myself was that some of it came from TRIO .But who really made me realize that i have to get real and put in the effort to care about my education was Mr.Nunley himself as student i’ve out hard way of putting in effort and for that i'm grateful to have him as teacher and a friend .Lastly it has made my life better by not being always on autopilot and to take my failures as my blessings and as my lessons .

1) In your own words what does this say?
This says that since Thomas J. was a hard worker he always seemed to have luck because of it. This was not the case because luck was not what he was getting, his hard work was paying off for all he had done.
2) What does this mean?
The harder Thomas J. worked the more “luck” he had but the quote is just cleverly using the work luck to mean something else. Thomas J. probably did not believe in blind luck for how he became so famous/well known but he does believe in hard work. Since Thomas J. had worked so hard to get in the position he had gotten to he is saying that with hard work you will be in better position and it will pay off in “luck”.
3) Why does this matter and/or how can you apply this to your life to make it better?
This is important because without hard work paying off “luck” there would not be a point to working so hard. There is always a reason to work hard and even harder in whatever it is. Without working hard then you will never see your life getting luckier just staying the same. To get results you need to show results. Life will never give you something if you do not offer something.
I could apply this in my life and add it to my life psychology. It would be that if i ever could do better at something then always do it better whether it be something physical or mental. Always be better in school and life as well as always be the better person too. When i do something better it will repay me with “luck” and make my life much easier and helpful to me and my mental self.

I put a lot of faith into luck. The more effort i put into my goals, the more luck I have.

I believe that the more effort and hardwork I put into my dreams and aspirations the more of luck i have on my side. Effort and hard work helps achieve my goals because i will motivate myself. With my goals being achieved more success i would have which in my case I believe success is luck

Putting effort and hard work into one’s dreams and aspirations is important because without either they will never come true. Without putting hard work into one's dreams they will never be achieved and then one can not be successful. I want to make sure that my dreams and aspirations come true and for that to be possible i have to hard working and put effort. Working hard comes with rewards. The dedicated you are to what you do or wish to accomplish you will do with the process of working hard and being confident that you will succeed.

The effort you put in is the results you are going to get out. The harder you work for something and take advantage of the opportunities that come your way you will make connections and become successful on your own. You will build networks with the people who are around you or on the same path as you. Hard work pays off and when you're closer to the end of the task you feel lucky because of the journey you had to take to be where you are at. More than lucky you feel, you feel blessed that every chance and opportunity you took was for the benefit of you and the long run.

This matters because the harder you work for something, the ambition you carry will stick with you and the dreams you want will become reality. Luck is the opposite of hard work. Luck is not practice, luck isn’t sacrifice, it’s not doing and holding yourself to your full potential. Luck doesn't get you to the finish line but hard work and will power does. Hard work is a major key to success if you kick back and do nothing to improve yourself as an individual then you won't know what it’s like to succeed on your own by doing the hard work.

3.This matter to my life because opportunities come and go but it is best if you reach out and go after them. These opportunities can come only once in a lifetime and might not come back to you for a while. These opportunities will go to someone who work instead of someone who sits at home waiting for luck to come. You will be doing a good deed for your future to impact you to do what you always wanted to do.

The quote is exemplifying that the “luck” he is receiving is sheer hard work. That the more work one does, will not only come off looking like luck, it’ll also result in success. Hard work pays off.

Luck only works if one works hard. One greatly believes in luck if they work hard. One gains success and happiness through luck. Luck is a synonym for hard work according to Thomas Jefferson.
3- Why does this matter and/or how can you apply this to your life to make it better? (1-2 paragraphs)
The quote that some may live by is a fraud or seen as a God. The quote is unattainable. If one is perceiving luck as a superstitious, believing it is all but destiny that is the reason for a cause and effect. Other see luck as an unknown. Luck is not a term.
Applying this quote in my life will not be a way. I will continue to do hard work, but not receive luck out of it. There is no way hard work and determination can be classified as luck. Luck is just coincidences. It just happens that the “luck” they keep getting after every test, after every college acceptance letter, is via hard work and determination. Hard work and dedication.

In the video, ET demonstrated strongly about people getting out of the lifestyle where the others take control, to get out of “cruise control.” His two rules were: “Luck is for leprechauns and you ain’t green,” and “attitude over aptitude.” These two rules applies to everybody. It is to be applied to everyday lives. Doing so will not only change the perspective of the many who are just sitting on a cloud, it’ll also change their acquaintances that have the same mentality of their friends. The reason for this is to make our efforts as realistic as our goals. To not only open up our hearts to the unreasonable, but to open up our thoughts of the unrealistic.
I plan to apply this to my lifestyle to achieve more and more than I thought I could. To work harder and harder to prove those who believe that I am going to end up like my siblings that I will in fact end up like an Ashley. A person who gets into her dream colleges and her backup colleges. Never is it luck, it is dedication.

What is technology?
Technology is an application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry. It is the machinery and equipment developed from the application of scientific knowledge and the branch of knowledge dealing with engineering or applied sciences.
What is a computer?
A computer is an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program. HOwever a computer can also be a person who makes calculations, especially with a calculating machine.
What is artificial intelligence?
Artificial intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.
How do you signal that you want to be successful?
I signal that I want to be successful by doing my work and getting things done. I strive to work hard and to give my effort to the fullest.

The reason people think luck matters is because of how society portrays luck as a given item, a form of a materialistic item only given to those who seem worthy of one.However, luck is not easily given. Luck is made with dedication and perseverance by those who achieve to succeed past their old self.
People today can applies this to work, school, sports, or their personal interest. School wise the more knowledge a person has the greater the opportunities and doors will open for the person that has gone out of their comfort zone to succeed in life. The same concept applies to work and personal life.Everyone knows the cliche saying “if at first you don't succeed try try again” that saying is implying how your luck is made. Luck does not happen on the first try automatically, it takes several attempts to move on to the next task.

1.The more you work, the more luck you have.
2.The quote means that you need to work really hard in order to get what you want. Also that when you work harder you will get more benefits. In addition to that, nothing in life is free and no one will give you something that you have to work for.
3.This quote matters because it tells us that we have to work hard in life to make everything worth it. Also we need to give it our all because it will benefit you in life. When you work hard for what you want you can make others believe that it was luck, but in reality it was you working. For example, if you go to school and you do all of your work you can make others believe that was luck but in reality you are working really hard. You can do that all your life and become really rich and others will believe that you a just a very lucky person.
3.I can apply this to my life by motivating myself to work harder to get better things in life. Also I can show others that I am able to do things that other people did not think I can do. Equally important, I can motivate other people to become the best they can. For example, people stereotype mexicans, they say we are immigrants and we will not succeed in life. When hearing that over and over again, it makes us work harder so people will stop saying that and when we do they will say it is luck, but we know we worked hard for it.

1- If you want to be lucky, then you should just work really hard and luck will come to you.
2- Luck can be obtained through hard work and perseverance, and the more effort you put in the more luck will appear. You believe more in luck the more you succeed, and you succeed by working hard and never giving up.
3- Luck is something most people believe in to perform better on a certain task and people like me rely on luck to get through difficult tasks. I can apply this to my life because the quote can be used as a wake up call to inform me that I don’t pass tests because of luck, but because I worked hard towards studying for that test. In my own words, this says that Thomas Jefferson believes greatly in luck and that if he works harder in things then he will have more of his luck. All in all, luck comes from hard working skills that is applied to tasks.
2- What does this mean? (2-3 sentences)
This quote means that by luck is gained by hard work. In order to have more of luck, more work must be done with effort. In other words, there is no such thing as luck, luck in this means rewards after working hard, things that are given to those who deserve it.
3- Why does this matter and/or how can you apply this to your life to make it better? (1-2 paragraphs)
This quote matters because it is significant by paraphrasing that hard work has its rewards. I can apply this to my life by knowing that if I apply hard work to my life such as school and responsibilities then I will have luck within my life.

This quotes says that luck is real, but putting more work in will give you more luck.
The quote, “I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it” by Thomas Jefferson means that luck comes from the effort and hard work you put into your goals. Basically, luck is coming from the hard work you’ve put in and without enough effort from your part you don’t deserve it. You shouldn’t expect to get lucky by doing nothing and being lazy.
This is important because you have to keep motivating yourself to work hard and stop relying on yourself to just be lucky (without any hardships). Luck comes from you, as a human being, and how you portray yourself. Working hard matters because then many opportunities come your way. For example, if you get good grades and join clubs, then there will be a lot of schools that want you. Then you can actually say you’re lucky for everything you’ve worked hard for.
I can apply this to my life and make it better by planning my future and motivating
myself to work harder. Planning my future will benefit me because I will have more luck
later on. I will get many opportunities that taking the easy way out won’t give me.
Motivation to work harder will get me to accomplish my goals and become successful.
And it won’t just be luck but it will be the reward of you getting your priorities straight.

3.This matters because people believe that they will achieve something through luck, people rather stand in a line all day for a lottery ticket than go out and actually find a way to make the money themselves. People like to take the so called easy way out because they believe it will happen faster.
This is something that I already apply to my life because I know nothing can happen in least i make it happen for myself. I do not believe in luck because I have never been a lucky person and i know luck is nonexistent. We can not allow what happens on the outside to affect our attitude.

Summary: This video is challenge for people to stop believe in luck and being too lazy to work for what they want. From this people learn that they need to make a to do list and organize and prioritize their life. This video also teaches people to take control of their attitudes no matter the environment.

2. What does this mean?
This quote means that luck isn’t really luck. In order to achieve your goals and succeed in life, you need to put in your all and work hard for your success. The harder you work, the more luck you will have.

This matters because luck isn’t really luck. Society has come to believe in luck too much they get lazy and don’t want to go through the hard work to get to their success. This quote is saying that as you put your best into the the things you want to achieve, you seem to get it done right. The most hardworking person will always seem to do better on the things they want to achieve. They try their hardest and put the most effort into it.

This means that as you put your best effort into something it will have a great outcome. The things a person really wants to achieve. The more a person works to achieve their goal, the better the outcome. Having to achieve a goal is hard and not everyone commits to what they want and usually end up not doing it. People who do really want to achieve their goal will always try their best and work hard.

This quote matters to me because in life people always try to bring a person down. There are always obstacles in achieving a goal. 1. This quote is saying by working hard, you shall be rewarded. Luck in this case, could be anything. Real luck, possibilities, accomplishments, etc.
2. Hard work leads to a number of great possibilities that only a limited amount of people are granted. Going that extra mile will get you further in life; the luckier you will be.
3. This quote matters because it teaches people that the minimum is not enough. Nothing comes easy in life. You must work to get what you desire. For example if you do not work hard you will not be granted with a lot of luck. You could end up homeless, and addict, etc. On the other hand if you do work hard, you will be granted with a lot. For example working hard in school will lead to scholarships, high financial aid, free trips. After working hard in college you could be granted a great career and retire happily. (paragraph1)
This can apply to my life to make is better by reminding me hard work and dedication can get me far in life. Reminding me I can be a really successful person. I can do anything i set my mind to and accomplish it.
6. Based on the video, E.T. taught me to depend on myself to make things happen. Luck is not for leprechauns means that nothing is going to come to you easily. You must work for what you want. E.T. gave his audience steps to help them learn to get off that autopilot setting they have their life on. If you picture something great happening to you, it is up to you to make that picture happen. One thing that really stuck out to me in E.T.’s video is the attitude over aptitude connection. It really is all about the attitude you have. You are not going to get to where you want to be if you have a despicable attitude. Like E.T. said you effort must match your dreams, Strive for what you want. You must put in work to get out success.

Technology is the branch of knowledge dealing with engineering and applied sciences. Some examples of technology would be telephones, fire, appliances, etc.
A computer is one of two things; A device used for storing and processing data and/or a person who makes calculations. Some examples of computers would be macs, desktops, laptops, pc, etc.
Intelligence is being capable to apply knowledge and skills to solve things. An example of intelligence would be Albert Einstein.
Artificial intelligence is technology performing tasks that require human intelligence. An example of artificial intelligence would be a robot modeled after humans or human behaviors.
I signal that I want to be successful by showing up to class everyday, turning in quality work, putting in above average effort, and coming to class prepared. I do not rely on others to make things happen for me, I rely on myself for that.
